I've got an SP-1 upper that I want to put a lower on. Are there any companies besides colt that make a lower that is close in color to the grey that my upper is? all my other ar's are black and those lowers look a little odd when mated with the colt upper.

I'm not sure about the lower colour question... but the SP01 upper is likely a large pin upper, and new lowers are all usually small pin... so you'll likely have to find an offset pivot bushing.
I've already got the offset pin, I've used the upper with my armalite lowers in the past but just got thinking the other day that it deserved to be built into a complete rifle of its own. I guess I could always get a lower guncoted to the same color.

You could always keep your eyes open in the EE for an old SP01 lower too. It might take a little while before one pops up, but then you'd have the "correct" lower for your upper.
