Colt revolver identify help

Hi Everyone,
I lost the ejector head off my 38 special officer model so I am looking to replace it. I cant post a photo here but on the barrel it has a stamp

" COLTS PT FA MFG CO HARTFORD CONN USA
PATD AUG 1884 JUNE 5 1900 APR 9 01 JULY 4 05"

Does anyone know the model before I spend money on the wrong part.

Also, does anyone know a dealer in Canada that carries it? I rather support a Cdn business than order from the states.

Yea, sigh. Colt makes a nice revolver. I should have one, found my regret as I don't.

The model number does not show on a registration certificate, however it is in the registry. Assuming it is correct, you could use the online ATT application process to determine what model number is on file.

You can try western gunparts in edmonton. Ive had better luck the last few years from numrich stateside though. Your description is pretty vague, but it sounds like an I frame model. - dan
