I called SFRC today for a status update on my order for a Colt SA20.

My credit card was charged on the 12th of July and my status on the website was changed to processing.

The rep I spoke to said that the shipment was suppose to arrive today at the store but that there was a delay from the shipper.

I mentioned that my credit card was charged and it clearly states on the website that cards will not be charged until the colts arrive.

She was not aware that it said that on the site....

What I want to know is why my card was charged when it was known that the colts were not due to arrive until today the 18th of July, 6 days after my card was charged.

Ive never had any off dealings with SFRC but this left a bad taste.

They were supposed to arrive the day they were charged so we could start transferring them as soon as they landed. Unfortunately the delivery was delayed in transit. They should be starting transfers on them in the next 1/2 hour or so and it will probably take most of the afternoon/evening to get them started as there are a few skids of them.

Thanks, I was not worried.

Like I said I have dealt with them many times and have always had great service, this was obviosuly a one off thing.

It would be nice if people did not take things so negative.

Thanks for the quick response Ryan I knew I would get a an explanation from you.

People take things negative when you state, the below, copied from your original post. As mentioned previous SFRC are stand up.

Cheers,

Take a deep breath, go for a walk, stop watching the clock and the rifles will arrive, then you'll get it.
SFRC is one of the best around, I've had numerous dealings with them, the wrote the book on customer service as far as firearms dealers go Sir.

A valid question, the add did say "you won't be billed until they arrive". No need to tell the op he needs to take a chill pill. I'm sure it's all good. I was in the same boat, I thought my rifle arrived when I saw that my cc was charged. SFRC is good!

I think threads like these are good for everyone, it gives customers a chance to give there opinions, it gives the retailers a chance to explain any issues and for any newbies it shows that there can be a few bumps in the road but that is nothing to worry about. I have come to realize that for online retailers, the names at the top of the page are excellent.

Just an FYI on the Colts. Most of the transfers are started and some are already approved. We'll start shipping them Tues (we are closed Monday) when the approvals start coming in. We'll be calling store pickup customers as we sort thru the skids but that won't be until Tuesday as we had a lot of stuff arrive.
