Does anyone have a sense of what this market is like in Canada? Eg similar to the U.S. or moderately lags the U.S.? I have an opportunity to acquire some older unique pieces and while there is a lot of US based info, valuing them is proving to be challenging. I plan to check out Maynard's et al but curious if anyone has specific knowledge or has been tracking the trends. Thanks

One is an older black power 45 with military markings. One is a 41 from the turn of the century I believe. One is a 45 civilian model from the 20s or 30s. All in good shape and with 5.5" barrels, but not sure if they have original grips.

The market here is so much smaller, thus limiting the pool of buyers. At the same time availability of fine guns up here is also limited in comparison so if someone gets their eye on a piece they want they will have to pay the price to get it in many cases.
My experience has been that in general prices attained south of the border for scarce guns or classics like SAA's, Winchesters, 1911's are higher simply
because of the massive customer base down there. How much higher? SAA's can be 10-25% higher if Gunbroker or Gunsamerica type sites are an indicater.

Thanks, that is helpful. I've notice a similar trend with other guns but haven't paid attention to the SAAs until now.
