Combat Masters .38 Special

I picked up some Combat Masters reloaded .38 Special, came in yellow boxes, mixed headstamp, and some brass and some that look nickel, would the nickel stuff be ok to reload again, it’s going to take some time to shoot through it, I bought 1500 rounds. But just curious, I added some pics

Load away. I've reloaded tons of nickel plated brass over the last 34 years.

I find nickel cases split sooner but they are fine for reloading.

that's my experience too. I reduced the belling as much as possible to reduce the splitting, but you still have to have some as I found the nickel plating is hard enough to scrape up the copper platting on my bullets. The pic below is actually from a 9mm reload, but it's the same problem.

Turns out this was a case of me not doing my homework when I bought this ammo, turns out its 15 years old or older, hope it still fires ok

It should be fine. I've fired reloads older than that that I had squirreled away and forgotten about.

15 years is not much for ammo. Combat Masters is a solid outfit as well so I wouldn't worry at all.
