Combination trigger lock help!

Sorry if this is not the right place to post this but I need advice.

I recently acquired a Browning X-bolt 30-06 that belonged to my brother who passed away. Problem is he has a combination trigger lock and no one knows the 3 digit code to unlock it. Anyone have any advice how to remove it without damaging the rifle?

Look on Youtube, very easy to do.

Manual is here. No W's. Take the trigger guard off(page 23). The lock should slide off.

The patient man would tell you there's only so many combos it could be, walk the numbers up?

The long way...
It has three numbers, start at 000, then proceed to 001, 002, 003 and so on until it opens... I have had to do that on combination locks on hard cases... it doesn't take that long... write the combination down when it opens.

Youtube has the answer. They are super simple to remove.

start with 306......
Then 000
Then 123
Then youtube and a small micro screwdriver

Try 3 digit calibers, starting with 308.

I removed one last week with a 1/4"drill. The guts are potmetal. Took about 10 seconds.

OR just try 000... I know a few that use that. Law says the restricted needs to be locked, doesnt say smartly...
