Combo in 12g/223 O/U, is there such a gun?

I have the .22 LR over 20 ga (Baikal MP-94).

Frankly, I preferred .22 LR over 12 ga. But after shooting the 20 ga, specially 3" painful slugs, I love it. 23" barrel. Irons sights leave much to be desired (for the .22 LR action). Break action is awesome. I loaded .22 short in it. 20 ga also takes less room than 12 ga so you can carry more.

Heavy gun. One of my favourites.

I bought a valmet 12 ga / 222 from them and it is a nice gun and adjustments to regulate the barrels. There is a nice one on the ee right now. Not as clunky as the tikkas.

I want to get the 222 barrel reamed to 223. Anyone recommend a gunsmith that can do it?

Depressive it is. I wonder how it can be fixed. I am considering return it to the gun shop where I bought it. I'll run a few more tests next weekend and take a decision from there.

I hope it is not abusive behavior to reply to my own message. Here are the updates on my testing of the MP94 Sever.

I loaded the 20 gauge with a slug after screwing the cylinder choke tube into place. My model is the 22 Mag over 20 gauge.

I only shot 6 shots, 3 from the rifle barrel and 3 slugs. I was at only 15 yards.

The Rifle barrel was properly adjusted for the sights horizontally and the shots landed 7/8 inch high.

The Slugs impacted 2 inches left and 3 inches high.

So far, I don't think there is a way of regulating the two barrels.

That thing might be useful for VERY short range hunting.

Bye.

Thanks for that update, I think i'll stick with a dedicated caliber though if I were to use one don't think i'd be using slugs.

Where do you get the hinky .227" bullets from though?

Hornady makes them and SFRC has them listed on their website. My Hornady reloading manual reports that some folks have been known to use .224 bullets in their rifles with useful accuracy but notes 'useful does not necessarily mean optimum'. I was intrigued in the combos mentioned and did some snooping.
