I've been a gun fan for quite some time. I thought I finally join this forum after some time.

Been online here for a few days and I can see some people are very passionate about their weapons. So am I but I really hope some of these people here don't go bragging or show off/talk about their guns openly. I still like to keep the peace and respect other's well being (what you don't know doesn't hurt you) concept as some people only hunt and others may have been a victim of gun violence.

Now as for me, I got an SKS and awaiting an ATT to get my AR. I am relatively new to this type of weapon and I'm sure many members here have much MUCH more experience and know hows.

Thanks everyone! I want to make this place my new home.

Hello and welcome. Your sentiments look sensible. Used to have a Chinese SKS that I used for a coyote gun when living in Idaho many years ago. Very nice little rifles. Enjoy the site.

Welcome to CGN. You may get a rough ride because of this line, though. The argument (and I agree with it) will go like this: that kind of "hide it, don't ruffle anyone's feathers" approach is what got us to the repressive/oppressive gun laws we have today. It is perfectly legal to own firearms, and I will not be shamed or pressured into hiding my passion and beliefs. If firearms scare someone, that's their problem, not mine. As long as I'm not breaking the law, I'm keeping the peace, no?
There can be an argument that being too open can lead to theft by criminals, but that's a separate issue.
