tradex offers free shipping on 500 rd cases of MFS. I figure it would work out to about 50 cents/rd after tax. Frontier has offers like this sometimes too.

Correct me if i am wrong but that is still millitary surplus ammo i thought
and therefore no help

No, it's boxed for retail.
They have the silver casing for retail and the green colored casings for Military surplus. They have a separate spot on SFRC for the military stuff.

Just be aware that the non-military ammo tends to contrubute more to issues with slamfire; where the firearm goes off as the bolt is slammed closed, and then sometimes fires off all its charged rounds in an auto-fire burst.

I believe SFRC has the best deal on MFS. They don't do free delivery, but they're prices make up for it. I guess it's all relative to where you live. I've been looking to buy some MFS SP 7.62x39, but can't find any reviews out there. Is the performance of MFS SP comparable to S&B SP or PRVI PSP? I don't reload, so it would be a huge savings to me if the performance was similar.

I still can't get a straight answer from anyone;

Is MFS steel-core or not? It's the steel-core that's banned at many indoor ranges.

Go to St Jean on the Richelieu if you have a car. It's 25 minutes from downstown Montreal and they accept Milsurp ammo. 160$ to be a yearly member.
