Do current manufacturer's of AR's (Armalite, Colt, Bushmaster etc.) for commercial public sale deliberately make their barrel ends so an M7 or M9 bayonet will not fit all that well? Fit loosely or bayonet lug a little too far back? Just wondering if this is another point that differentiates commercial AR's from Mil Spec?

The real advise is to purchase "mil-spec" AR's and mil-spec bayonets. Commercial models with different spec's are simply avoiding you from using competator models/politicaly correct for safety.;)

Don't buy into that crap. Get it how it was intended.:D

Hope this helps:)

The bayonet does not fit tight on the flash eliminator with the issue ones, they have a bit of play. As for the lenght, the 16" barrels have to have a mid length handguard for them to fit. The 14.5 and 20" ones fit.
