I keep finding commercial BSA marked SMLE's with Portuguese marked disks in the butt. Does anybody know the story on how this happened ? The example I have has J. Lisboa inscribed on the disk.I know the UK gave the Portuguese soldiers on the front line of WW1 smle but I am assuming they would not have been commercially marked. What gives?
