Doing some shopping for a new stock for a Zastava M70 and was wondering what people recommend or even just know of on the market. It seems like most manufacturers have limited selection for mausers. Mostly looking for fiberglass or possibly laminate if I like it enough.

I have a 2011/2012 Frankonia Jagd catalogue and it shows two really nice wood stocks as well. I know you are looking for something else, but that option for a ready to go stock is also available.

To fit a Zastava M/70 in a FN 98 stock, you will need to make a groove for the floorplate release button. The Mark X stock pattern usually have it already machined.

As far as I know, they all have the swing type floorplate, so yes, they will need that groove too.

Depends what action you order it for. A military action doesn't need the side safety or the bolt notch. Sporters do. Easy enough to add though. - dan

I think the OP was looking for a stock for an FN98 which is mostly encountered as a commercial model with the side safety and requiring a bolt notch.
