Several months ago I acquired military MKVI, 1917 in VG shape with leather holster, minus lanyard. However, after seeing commercial MK IV in 38 (small frame), and after talking to some folks who had seen large frame MK VI in 455, commercial model, I started dreaming about one. Apparently, those made between two wars are the best ones.
Would anybody have an idea how much would cost a very nice commercial MK VI? Also, I wouldn’t mind one with not so perfect blueing, as long as it’s mechanically very sound and no surface pitting.
As a matter of fact, target one with 7.5” barrel will be my ultimate goal, but I am afraid that, considering its scarcity and price it’s just a pipe dream.
