I have two very nice Husqvarna 9.3x57 based on the swede mauser actions,and an equally nice Parker Hale conversion of a 303.My question is-who, if anyone did commercial conversions of mausers in 7x57?

Husqvarna did, I have one. I've seen PHs done in 7 Mauser on surplus actions (early fifties manufacture) - dan

Tradex seems to be the main source of Husqvarna imports,but I haven't seen any 7x57's on their list-lots of 6.5x55,8x57,9.3x57,and 9.3x62,but I haven't seen a 7x57.I haven't seen a P&H either-seems to be lots of 303,30.06 and others built on mauser actions-but the 7x57 seems not to be very common in commerical rebuild sporters-which I find somewhat surprising given the efficiency of this cartridge,and the availability of it

Look for an early 50s/late 40s PH, using surplus Nazi actions, usually labeled as a Super Safari. You're right though, the vast majority of them were 30-06. - dan
