Fella's is it worth me getting a few of these type of externally compensated choke tubes, or are they just nonsense?

Porting in choke tubes doesn't do anything other than direct some muzzle blast to the side.
This is what I was thinking. While there's a lot of mass coming out, it's not high pressure (relatively speaking), or a least not as high as a rifle cartridge.

Porting in shotguns just doesn't work to reduce recoil, at least not to the degree that rifle porting can. Those choke tubes directing gasses 360 degrees around the tube are not reducing muzzle rise either.
To start with there is nothing redirecting the gasses rearward to reduce recoil. Secondly muzzle brakes work with high pressure and since rifle cartridges are running up around 60,000 psi there is a lot more pressure to work with than a shotgun does at 11,500 psi.
Basically, all shotgun porting does is annoy the people your shooting with!
