What would you recommend for a compact 12 gauge for like mossberg maverick security (ie that type of 12 gauge) and not to costly!

You could buy the Fabarm 14" barrel pump gun for approx the same money and it comes with ghost ring sights, picatinny rail, and forward assist action.

A very nice shotgun. I have used both the 870 and Fabarm Martial extensively and there is no comparison for the price.

Define not costly?

The maverick 88 will get you into the game at a low price.
I bought mine for around $200.00, and it works great.

Aside from the location of the safety, and the fore end it is a Mossberg 500, and will take all the same bells and whistles.

That is unless you swap the fore end parts with a 500 mossberg.
then you can use them parts also.

My current project is to swap the 6 shot mag and barrel parts out for the 8 shot one.

Also I can't find an Norinco HP9-1 listed on Marstars site...are they sold out of them?
