compact glocks

i asked this on another thread, but i think that one is dead. the compact glocks from questar come with a longer barrel to make them restricted. my question is....is there anything they did to the gun other than put a longer barrel in it? i'm asking because i know someone who is selling a prohib glock cheap. he wants a different one, so the wife gave him a choice. bless her heart. anyway, if all you have to do is change the barrel, i'll pay for a new one and he can change it to restricted. but if there is more that has to be done, it probably wouldn't be worth the effort for me. so, if there is other things mechanically that have to be done, what are they? i hope someone knows out there. thanks.
 
don't do it, they are few enough 12(6) guns in this country as it is. Let someone who has the licence get it, and don't ruin a perfectly good gun. If you are that smitten with the small guns, get one from Questar, it'll probably be cheaper for you anyhow, as the barrels for the gun are just as much fun to get out of the USA as the guns.
 
yup, i checked all the legal stuff you have to do. i just wanted to know about the stuff that has to be done to the gun itself. if it was as simple as getting a longer barrel put on it, or if there was other stuff to do also. thanks.
 
if you just want a small polymer pistol I would recommand a Steyr M-a1 it's about the size of a G19 but allready comes with a 106mm barrel.

+1 a prohib Glock in good shape is probably worth more than a restricted one...

Really that would be a first:eek::confused: So then are you volunteering to buy it at a higher price then Questar is asking? :rolleyes:
