Hi all,

I just bought the rifle yesterday. I think it's the latest version from Ruger, with a synthetic stock and a 16'' barrel.

My intention is to buy a compact LER scope for it.

Right now, I'm on a budget (the rifle wasn't cheap) but I'm in no hurry...

It seems what I'm looking for isn't that easy to find. So any kind of input will be appreciated.

I'd like it to be compact and made by a renown company.

Thank nowarningshot.
I'll put it on the list. I had not considered pistol scopes as I wasn't
Sure they are tough enough for a .308. I suppose some of them are.

Though not a true LER, the Bushnell 1.75-4x shotgun scope has LOTS of eye relief. Almost as much as a true "scout" scope. Budget friendly and great glass for the price.

Wolverine can order the Hi-lux Scout (if it is still being made)

Burris Scout Scope is best of breed. But pricey. If available any Burris dealer can order it.

Leupold was the standard for a long time, but i cannot comment as i have never used one. The other 3 i have.
