I’m looking for a scope to mount on my 45colt Henry.
I think the Leopold UL 2.5x would be perfect. But can’t seam to find one for quite some time.

Then I was considering the Leopold 4x rimfire as the 60yrd parallax would probably work great for most ranges I will hunt this gun at. It’s not that much bigger then the UL and can be found.

What options are out they for compact scopes that aren’t cheap tactical looking stuff from china?

I wouldn’t be opposed to a 1-4 as long as it’s small and slim.

I just find in the big timber Their is not enough light for me to be comfortable with the irons.

Burris made compact acopes as well. Weaver had some 3x models that were reasonably sized. - dan

Consider the small size of the gen 2 Vortex Spitfire Prism scopes. Small, light, and adjustable focus. In a 3x or 5x.

I was looking for a scope that I could mount low enough on my CZ452 so I would not need a cheek riser on the comb, so in order to do this it had to be short enough or small enough to clear the tangent sight. I also wanted a bit more magnification than my old tasco 1.5 x 5 scope.

I tried a Sun Optics "Shorty Forty" that I picked up at Canadian Tire for $160.00 Yes, it is a cheap scope, but it fit on the rifle perfectly, it holds zero, it has paralax adjustment and gives me up to 9 X. Simple Mil Dot Reticle. Perfect for my purpose.

Canadian Tire seems to no longer have them, but Amazon does; however, they are a lot more money now than they were.

Anyway, I am happy with mine.

I seen those. But with the mount they would sit pretty high.
Or is the mount removable? And still able to go on a pic rail?

Yes, the high mount shown in advertising is for the higher mounting needed for an AR15 or similar. You can remove the high mount for a low mounting as required.
