Double base powders claim to produce higher velocities than single base powders of similar burn rate. Howver, some are plagued by temperature instability. The new breed of double base powders, such as RE-26 and IMR 4955 and other Enduron powders claim to be temperature stable. However, how about accuracy? Are they potentially as accurate as single base powders? Is the accuracy window (node) as wide as it would be with a single base powder? I am specifically interested in REloder 26 and IMR 4955, but I am asking the question in general. My own expperience with IMR 4955 is that it produces very good accuracy.
