I use some RCBS dies on my Lee cast turret.
Some dies like Lyman may use a locking ring which is a little large to fit side by side in the turret - so I buy extra locking nuts from Lee. If you use two lock nuts, you don't have to use the silly little set screw to keep your setting ( if you are using a one hole press and have to keep switching dies.)
Buy the Lee die wrench - it is a great tool for cheap.
I have had troubles with using an other-than-lee shell holder. The hole in the shell holder was a little rough, causing the little primer guide to flip primers over as it scraped up the inside of the hole.
