Competition only warning? Wolf spring kit for Glock

I just installed a Wolf competition spring kit and a 3.5# connector on my Glock 17. This brought the trigger pull down from 7# to 4 1/4#, which I do like a lot better. Now why does this kit have a competition only warning? Is it a safety issue with the lighter trigger, or a possible reliability issue, or just a legal liability concern?
 
probably because the safety being in the trigger they figure it makes it not as safe as stock, JW where you got yours I have a 17 that I might want to spruce up in the future. Have you taken it to the range and noticed a big difference?
 
Been running iit for years. Unless u plan on dropping it onto the concrete, I never had an ND as my finger never went anywhere close to the trigger
 
Liability issue. They don't wanna get sued when someone's gun doesn't go bang for any reason under any circumstance. Or hell, if it does go bang when you didn't mean to (ND) because of the lighter pull. I have wolff spring in my CZ 75 B and on some primers you need a second strike just to get it to go bang. Light hammer spring. Which also makes the DA pull lighter, so I could see someone making a whoopsie and having an ND.

Wrong... The trigger bar safety is but ONE of THREE safeties and has nothing to with the spring weights. The tab is independently operated from all other mechanisms in the Glock pistol.

Wrong.. Dropping a loaded Glock will not induce an unintentional discharge as the pistol is physically incapable of firing unless the trigger is pulled.

Well I finally got around to trying the new setup today and about 1 in 7 was a light primer strike. Everything fired when I put it through the gun a second time. I was using Ukranian surplus LCW and suspect the military primers played a factor. Anyways when I got home I switched out the Wolff 4# Striker spring for the factory 6.5# one. This brought the trigger pull up a bit to just under 5.5# which I can live with.
 
The LCW ammo has pretty hard primers. Most brass 9mm ammo shouldn't have a problem - I've had a similar 'hard primer' issue with the barnaul steel cased stuff. Don't get me wrong, I love the LCW because it's cheap, but I've had to hit the primer twice quite a few times.
