I want to take a black badge course and the requirements say you need to own a belt/holster, currently I own a Glock 17 and 19. I am new to shooting but a IPSC competitor I met at my range let me shoot his Tanfoglio Stock II xtreme, and he had a pretty slick holster setup. I was wondering where I could order something like that and what is a good brand/model? His was the style that just has a little nub for the barrel to slide onto and a mechanism that grabs around the trigger guard area.

A Bladetech DOH holster will be great for the BB course and competition. You don't have to go for a race holster - a Bladetech and practice are a better combination.

DAA belts are my preference. They are stiffer than the CR Speed.

Mag pouches are another piece of kit on the IPSC rig. I like the CR speed pouches but DAA pouches are very popular.

Thanks for the info guys, do you know if I will have any problems with the Bladetech since I have RMR with cowitnes sights, that are basically suppressor height sights to be tall enough to line up with my RMR? That is why I was thinking of a race style holster rig, not only am I worried about fit with my sights but also I just spent $500US on my slide which is DLC coated and I would prefer not to scratch the carp out of it with a holster that rubs against it. And again I will most likely never compete with this gun, if when I decide to compete I would most likely buy a gun to run in production division.

So other then preference is there any reason why I would not be able to do the BB with a race style holster?

Doubletapsports is in Brampton, Im in Mississauga so I will check out what they have. They are more expensive then Select Shooting supplies, but I have to consider shipping cost vs being able to drive 20min to pick it up at their store... Although if Select shooting supply has an actual retail store? I wouldn't mind driving driving to Kitchener to check it out if they have a good amount of stock to look at, as I dont mind visiting a new gun store as long as its not all hunting shotguns and rifles...LOL

No it didn't look like that, as it also had a post on the bottom for the barrel to slide onto.

His was something more like these. and his mag pouches were a blue plastic
