Hey anyone here know of a business or businesses that sell complete upper slides for glocks or 1911’s
Any help here I thank you
And sorry if this is in wrong spot
Davide

I have never seen or heard of anyone that carries stock. the market here is SO small compared to south of the border, it would be hard to make a business case for that. It wasn't a huge problem until the ITARS were tightened some years back; now it's tough convincing some of the U.S. suppliers to even consider jumping through the regulatory hoops to serve our market volume. you may need to go to a custom shop like Black Box in Calgary to find something

For complete Glock slides probably Black box customs, Saskatoon gun works or CTC supplies, worst case scenario is you'll have to buy all the parts separate and put it together at home.

If U can't find anything @ BBC? then in my experience, Brownells is the best "bang for the buck". Good luck.

Complete slides are expensive , barrels are expensive
Then there is the time frame to import them
No one is willing to pay for the effort
I found, back when I was doing it, it amounted to about half the price of a complete gun from Colt
That was when Para Ordnance only made the frames
Now there is no Colt Distributor's in America to get parts, so you have to get them from various manufacturer 's
When everyone got into 9mm, there were a lot of people who sold their Colt made 45's for very reasonable prices at the time

our market is so small it probably doesn't fit our retailer's business models to carry complete fitted slide assemblies.
You could ask Dlask ...... maybe send rdsc an email as they carry a lot of glock and high end 1911 stuff like Nighthawk Custom ect..... maybe check with Freedom Ventures....
Otherwise there just isn't many custom shops in Canada that offer what you are looking for as an off the shelf item
When I think of 1911 custom shops in Canada only Dlask comes to mind.

You want custom? Something for competition? or just a run of the mill, factory complete slide? It {likely} will be easier buying a Complete -registered- Glock, then selling the lower/frame/parts. Probably will work out cheaper that way too, after you sell what you don't want.

Quite a few years ago, there where gunshops that would have frames or slides and parts in stock.
1911, Glocks not so much, that came later.
These days, hard to find a proper spring sometimes.

Yeah it's insane how much completed slides are worth VS completed handguns.

Not trying to hijack your thread haha but yeah, I'm having a very hard time finding anyone who can build me a clean 1911. Not looking for something fancy, just a blank stainless steel Commander-sized 1911 in 9mm with no forward serrations. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find anyone who can do it. I'm waiting for Dlask to respond to some of my emails, but they only offer 1911s with forward and rear serrations. If anyone has any recommendations, that'd be great.

I helped a buddy rebuild his norinco with all Dlask parts. He bought them as a build kit..... mind you that was 3 or 4 years ago.
His stainless commander slide only has rear serrations.
Maybe all they have in house right now is front and rear but it would pay to get ahold of someone there and ask.

That sounds great. Unfortunately, they only offer both forward and rear serrations currently. I hear nothing but good things about Dlask 1911's

Brownells carry a non front serrated 1911 slide I believe, why not order from them and have it shipped, not that much of a hassle, the only bad part is how long CBSA hold it before they send it on to you ffs
