Just finished my 5R with Armacoat and installed new bolt knob that I got from Ano-Mac a member here on CGN, the bolt knob I must say is awesome it measures .975"x1.75". And it cost me $30 to my door!! Badger Bolt knob...no thanks from now on only from Ano-Mac. Cheek riser which I made myself. It is topped with a Bushnell 6500 4.5-30x50mm. I got a paintgun from princess auto for $50 which works awesome if anyone needs pics of it just ask me. It took me three days to apply the Armacoat, one day for each color and clearcoat. I added the clearcoat to the stock and scope to make the colors really standout. I did learn a few things about this product when working with it through trial and error. The mixture is supposed to be 8-1. Paint being 8 hardner being 1. With this mixture and if you keep the paintgun 12"+ away you get a dull matte finish (true camo). I mixed a few different ways and found the more hardner you add and the closer you spray you get more of a shine, and that is why I decided to add the clearcoat. I really like the way the clearcoat brings life to the colors instead of the typical dull camo finish. If you need questions anserwed PM me. I got the Amacoat directly from them 1780-995-2394 or 1780-398-2678.

Dune thats a nice paint job! Excuse my lack of knowledge but it has an urban camo look which is cool. Some purists would want matte but since we live in the real world I think it is pretty cool!

A couple of questions:

What type of cheek pad is that?
What scope are you using?

Nice Paint Job

That paint job looks amazing and clear coat really brings the colors out. I will have to get out the paint gun and give that a try.

I picked up a bolt knob from ano-mac that is parkerized steel, once I thread the handle I will get a pic up.

Nice camo paint job! I am considering painting one of my rifles with duracoat. Maybe I can ask here? What would anyone who has painted their stock that was smooth polymer use to add a rougher surface to the stock when the new paint is applied?

nice shiny moo-moo camo!!! :puke:

many may like it... but I think you just ruined a great scope and rifle.:(

Sorry...I gotta agree. Spending that much coin on a rifle and scope only to drastically reduce its value doesn't make much sense to me.

Also...are those cabinet knobs you used to hold you cheek rest on?
