completing a stripped lower

I just finished putting together a stripped lower . The registration certificate for the stripped lower shows a shorter barrel length of 267mm ( 10.5 inches ) than my other certificate for my 14.5 in AR .
Do I have to inform CFO it is completed now and that I want a longer barrel length shown on the certificate ?

Technically yes, but some just leave them registered as a stripped lower. To my knowledge no one has been charged for it, so no one really knows till then

If you purchased it as a stripped lower there should be no barrel length at all, it should just say receiver.
If I was to call them I would have them correct the info to receiver only and have nothing about the upper at all.

Good idea ...I did purchase it as a stripped lower and was surprised to see it had a barrel length listed on it.

Likely, the company that manufactured it (which I'm sure we know whom that is ) had originally registered it with the intention that it would be assembled into a complete rifle (possibly it's less work than having to change the registration before shipping it to dealers?).

Yeah, seems kinda silly to worry about barrel lengths when the lower is restricted regardless if it has a barrel or not. Just another example of pointless administration that accomplishes nothing.
