Nice idea, I'd consider something like that if it meant I could still shoot. Unfortunately, I don't think our government knows or cares about alternatives to an all out ban.

Should have been called "cope mag".
 
That's an interesting idea, but it must be geared towards the specific wording of the California law? According to the website, the thing has an internal locking feature to attach it to the rifle, but can be removed simply by opening the action and releasing the lock, which allows the mag to be removed...meaning that it is a detachable mag. I don't think this would change its legality here in Canada under the newest wave of banning BS.

It's still detachable, and the rifle is unmodified and can still accept a standard detachable magazine as well.

I hope I am wrong, and welcome some evidence to that effect. :)
