I have a Knox Spec Ops on my Mossberg 590 right now; it soaks up recoil so that I shoot 50-60 slugs out of it and there is not even a little mark at all (get beaten around by my 870). The only drawback to it is that the shape of the stock is not the greatest thing for hunting; I hunt a thick area where I load the bugger with slugs and buckshot since the shots could be at spitting distance.
Has anyone used both on similar guns? Do you find the Spec Ops is much lighter in recoil, or would switching stocks not really be noticeable?
