Like any reviews, I have read good and bad about this gun which still leaves a potential buyer no further ahead. However, as stated in other threads, you generally get what you pay for. If the gun is indeed reliable, it lacks in other areas such as fit/finish and handling. I guess the question becomes are you thinking about this gun simply because of the low cost factor? If so, you may wish you had saved awhile longer and bought something else. Or who knows, you may love the gun. It all becomes a personal choice and your reasons for doing so. I would personaly save awhile longer but again, that's just what I would do.

I started Trap / Skeet / Sporting Clays in the 90's with a Stoeger Condor I: Single trigger interchangeable chokes. It was the best I could afford as a lowly student. To date it has fired over 40 000 rounds yes 40K mix of ammo from 1oz reloads to full power 3" hunting loads.

I replaced it in 2009 with a high end O/U (simply because of want.. and some spare cash) but it still gets occasional use as a field gun. There have been several Stoegers at the Club and no one to date has reported any issues with them.

I had one - my first shotgun (just a field grade). Eventually, it started shooting both barrels at once every once in a while. After two tries to fix it I just got rid of it.
