Conetrol

Has anyone been able to kill a set. I've heard nothing but how strong they are, but looking at them I have to admit I'm a little skeptical of the ring to base connection.

Don't make a habit of dropping my rifle, but I've never had a problem. I only made the switch because I needed a taller ring. I was able to get a 30mm Talley setup much cheaper than it would of cost me for the Conetrols. They are a ###y looking ring though.

Back in 89-90 when I had my first 416 Rem put together I had a terrible time getting the thing to be consistant. Burned up many hundreds of bucks worth of bullets. Finally switched to a set of Conetrols and problem solved. That said they're the only set I've ever used.
