I AM A 1911A1 JUNKIE!
I went to the trouble of setting up a Glock 21 to shoot 10mm rounds and I loved it. I then got the bug to buy a 10mm Dan Wesson Bobtail but I couldn't locate one. I did find a 10mm Dan Wesson Commander with a flat main spring housing, I bought it, and I am enjoying shooting it. I have not shot the Glock 10mm since I purchased the Dan Wesson.
I am getting 1/2" groups at 10 yards but at the 150 round level I am having sporadic jams that are easily fixed. If the jams continue, at the 200 round mark, I will take the pistol back for service. I am not sure if the jams are related to an occasional limp wrist or the ammo I am using. I am shooting reloads by a person I really trust.
In regard to the accuracy and fit/finish all are top shelf. I have never owned a nicer 1911A1. Any plans for the future? Yes, I intend to try an arched main spring housing and have a 45acp slide and barrel fitted to my Dan Wesson.
