Does Mossberg have the export permits for this gun yet?

AFAIK, no one in Canada has it.

Gobles has it listed, but from speaking with them, they list all configurations of a gun, whether or not its in stock and whether or not they can even get it.

Don't think a particular commercial firearm model needs a special export permit though. Mind you, our side will refuse an 8 round, semi-auto, centrefire. Evil isn't limited to rifles.

Unless something has changed from when I last spoke to the US/Canada Mossberg rep (December 2009), they have no intention of exporting the gun to Canada as they would have to create a export compliant gun for Canada, she did mention if somebody wanted to place a large enough order they might consider it though, when questioned how many she said it would have to be several hundred shotguns to be considered even.

I've heard this as well....though I don't understand the problem.

Seems to be an import legal gun is as simple as removing the barrel extension.
 
Heh. I got mine from a guy who got it from Armco and I just recently traded it off. And yes it was an SPX:

Extension came from S&J. Held five 3 inch shells ;).
 
if someone wants to import some we can have some longer mag tubes made that would be machined to only take 5 rds.
The may tubes that comes with the spx is made by choate and is crap as is the follower.
We have sold 100,s of our magtubes to us customers.
One shop pulls the choate tube off and installs our tube before they even hit the shelf.
 
we allso have better charging handles and over sized safetys available via a us company we Rep in canada.
mag clamps, light mounts ect!!

What?, all they need to do is to drop the mag ext, or add a reduced one ,so the mag capacity is 5 and not the 7-8 as on the U.S. ones, how hard is that, they ship lots of 930s up here with 4 rd mag for duck hunting, so WTH?
