Just bought my first air rifle a Crosman Nitro Venom .22 and I have questions right out of the box 1) front of box states up to 800fps with 14.3 grain lead pellets BUT the back of the box states up to 800 fps(7.9grain) lead pellets I bought a Benjamin Discovery hunting pellet assortment in .22 but discovered when I got home that nowhere on the box does it say what the weight of the pellets are. Does anyone have the answers??

I have several that shoot very high fps and they are extreamly accurate, not rare in the least. RWS, DIANA, AIR ARMS, HW. Many air rifle manufactures use very light ammo to come up with their velocity numbers, speed sells.

Depends what you consider "very high" fps. I'd consider 800-900fps to be "about right". There are some high-powered PCPs that can do much faster, but usually people just shoot heavier pellets to bring the speed back down to that range.

Air Arms 177/ 1010 fps , Diana 54 is 1100fps HW97k is in the 900s, thats perdy spicy for springers.

Best accuracy occurs with MV no more than about 950 fps. Among experienced air rifle shooters, its well-known that as a pellet approaches the transonic zone it become increasingly unstable and less accurate. In short, accuracy suffers as MV increases beyond the mid-900 fps range.

RWS air rifles are rare indeed because RWS does not manufacture air rifles.
