Confused...

So I been trying to understand why some scopes are 3X more expensive than others, but what amazes me the most is the lack of ANY measurable data in the scope reviews. I would imagine that there are common criteria by which optics could be judged, but all i see is scope X is much brighter than Y, or you could see so much more details in it and so on... even the feel of the turrets is somewhat important and reticle and "build quality" (except one guy on the net who actually did some stress test on the recoil simulator and had some numbers in comparison) and warranty. After being somewhat familiar with photography lenses i find the lack of information on scopes quite frustrating or maybe i'm just looking in the wrong places. I could have just created another X vs Y scope and no matter what Vortex PST would win, but making an educated choice is extremely tough.

Usually, people tend to think, what they have is the best, regardless if factual or not.Fairly sick of hearing zeiss 3x9x40 is the best bang for your buck.Looked through, and was comparable to a vx2.Everyones eyes are different,so get what looks best for you.Something like asking who is the best girl for you on this forum.
