Well they may have placed last and second last at the EESA BBB07 match but I am still as proud as heck of both of them.

I will take some of the blame for Diablos showing on one stage due to faulty ammo performance. Ammo that I put together on my new press that I am still tweeking.

Trinity Angel manned the registration desk for both days and was a great help to me as our normal Stats Director was gone for the weekend.

Special thanks to Tom for supplying a quick loan of factory ammo to get the kids through the match.

It was great to spend a weekend shooting with my two kids.......even better to be doing it at my home club.

My performance?? Well Working the match from 6:00 am to 6pm Saturday then again from 7 am till 4pm and starting my shooting at 4pm I did ok. As a matter of fact on stage 5 I was well on my way to my BEST STAGE ever....I man I was flying....shooting on the move the whole issue....right until I "F'd up" as I was told later. Messing a mag change soo bad while dropping to the low port that the mag went flying away....as did its follow up. This left me with only my "holy ####" backup mag that I have never had to rely on!

Oh well....................I still had a good time at the match and I hope that those that attended feel likewise. I do regret having to pull that stage but we just could not get the bugs out of it. Now of cousre running an autopsy we have it all worked out for NEXT TIME!!!

It was a fun match J. I always like coming out there to shoot. But next time maybe you could just remind me to use my game brain so I don't end up zeroing a stage because I wasn't paying attention!

And hey, I got home just ahead of the craptastic weather too so all in all it was a good day. Thanks for all the hard work.

No offence but I think that your sons best shooting performance was scoring a picture with the cheerleaders!!! Well at least it would have been for me had I been in his shoes.......man I wish I was in his shoes for that........

Hell he wishes he was 18 at the time!!!

Kent....papers do not want to see the POSITIVES of gun ownership. It is not news.

But I am working on it!

That is great Storm. You do realize thou most MD's just try to recruit match volunteers rather then breed them? Sorry I missed it. Sounded like a fine time.

Excellent ! My little guy is only five, but I am looking forward to the day I can get him shooting with me. He does like to go and watch, that likely won't last much longer as he'll want to step up to trying it himself I am sure.

Good lesson for the Kids trust no one!!!! always chamber check your own rounds!!! always load your own mags!!!! always cleans your own gun and mags!!!! these lessons will never be forgotton after a bad day with ammo. If you make it to Grenville for either the May or Sept match I'll provide the Kids with free Factory 9mm for the match!
Supermag

A most generous offer Supermag! How far to Grenville?

Yes the kids do need to be more independant.....I feel like an old school marm..

Do you have your inner belt?

Where are your ear muffs!!

My oldest (15) is doing his black badge this weekend with his new SP01, hopefully he'll shoot his first level 2 match the following weekend.

Middle guy (11) wants a G17.

I hear you storm, my butterflies are more active when he LAMR than me. :p

Too bad there's no family rate for frontiers, eh?
:D

Hey that is great! Perhaps we can meet up at a match somewhere in Eastern Ontario this summer!

I hear you about the bullet cost. I should try and get them a sponsor!!

Well, I usually make it up to the Ont provincials every year. He will likely be there too.

We'll be at the nationals for sure.

Good shooting,

V7
