Okay black rifle lovers and Mirror Kommandos:

I finally learned to play with Excel (after a few screw ups) and get more comfortable with it. Hey, I am a programmer by trade, but that was 11 languages ago and Sheridan College was in 1986 so I'm rusty with the applications software. I only teach languages

It was a very intense 2 days for all the instructors and / or safety officers. I'm glad to be home, but also even gladder that the QC and the Ottawa area black rifle lovers had so much fun. Great learning by everyone. Much high fiving and back slapping after the great clean up. I'm a little hoarse from yelling at some borderline safety situations, but I've been reassured the screaming was in the right context.

Here are the results of the shoot..... CGN handles have been used where possible, names have been sanitized for Operational Security....

For you shooters, if you have any pics; post them in this thread for others to view and see all the excellent hardware that was on the line. I'm certain all kinds of CGNutters want to see the fun we are having/have had.

For many of you CQB'ers who have been with us for your/our second season... I do have to admit that it was fun seeing you again for a return adventure and to re-connect at Connaught in this case; different from shooting at Langemark Range in CFB Borden, ON. :D

Remember for you Montreal CQB'ers... we are hosting another match on 16 Oct at Langemark Range, CFB Borden. Another good resource of information is our Quebec expert dbala here on CGNutz. He is the most experienced shooter among you in terms of working with Timk and myself!! :) He can give you directions and timings for your travel questions.

Once you EMT (prepay) me the entry fees, as usual I will email you the letter of invite for you to send to your appropriate provincial CFO office and obtain your short term ATT. Then after you receive that ATT, you are covered to come and shoot the 16 Oct match.

I'm thankful for the community of shooters here on CGN and also thankful to everyone that made this event happen.

Barney (I'm gonna try and change my handle to Mirror Kommando) ;)

Ok so Zemtradi is on the list twice?

Hungry here: There; I just fixed it... 1630 hrs. It's all good to go.

I realised that throwing mass amount of bullets downrange won't make you a good shooter. CQB will though. I still have to improve my reloads and shooting on the move. Tim and Hungry are great guys. The range was simply awesome. I can't wait to comeback for the service rifle event in April. Thank you for the great time.:D

Ya it was allot of fun, some of the new stuff like shooting on the move and static turns were a nice change. Now to start shopping for a new AR for SR next year :D

yeah.. lots of fun.. getting a top spot at the bottom means a lot.:). now need to go back to watch more Chris Costa videos on youtube (always getting side tracked by those Zuzana's workout videos..crap), sound proofing my basement (dry firing is for the weak), but most important must get rid of habit of loading empty mags (i heard hypnosis helps) and of course learn how to count to 4 to change them on time..(hope going to SK with my son for a week will improve my math skills). LOL.

Thank You Tim and Barney! Hope to be more focused and on the ball next time!

..also Big Thank You goes to CC and CF for allowing us to use such great facilities and on top of all feed us with great meals!!!
Hungry here: Just sanitized for OpSec....

Make room at the bottom there netcon, I'm sure I'll be joining you as I start learning all this fun stuff from TimK and Hungry next spring. :D

Many thanks to Hungry, TimK, and C C for arranging an enjoyable, educational, and challenging weekend. Hopefully the first of many. Got to meet and shoot with a lot of great guys.

Other than some minor tweaks to pouch placements, and the need to put my carbine on a bit of a diet, all my kit worked flawlessly....which means Hungry is going to have to find a brand other than Noveske to slam on his courses :p

Hungry here: yuk yuk yuk... I cannot slag the Noveske stuff because all the Noveske shooters are completing the matches with great results these days. ha ha ha It's all good.

Yeah, big thanks from me too. Had lots of fun and good work by Tim and Barney for getting everyone through the shoot on Sunday, as well as clean up, before noon!

Thanks guys.

......attending the first day.....and doing ok or spending Saturday with the wife and sucking at the comp and having the stats published for all the world to see.

........fact is i can't win either way :D

thanks guys my other two newbies told me they got alot out of it.
and it was fun for them

I didn't see a Bio, so I was unaware. He's not EG, and GH doesn't seem to fit. What do I know?

Still waiting for a Bio!!!!!!

Extremely competent in what they do, but for other things you have to hold their hand :p

Forgot to say thanks to the other guys on my 'team' that I was shooting with. It made it easy to get set up for the next stages and police the brass on the range at the same time.

:)

WOOHOO! my new muzzel break and hogue grip just showed up... i had been hoping they would arrive in time for last sunday but this give me more time to play with them before the oct 16th shoot
