Cons of VZ58 7.62X39 7.5" compact as compared to 11.8" ???

Yes you can no problem, atleast I do with mine. The 7.5" dont get the respect they deserve. Good accuracy at 100y, great accuracy at 50y-25y.

The only cons I see with this rifle is the fact I cant go hunt/ take it outside of a range.

Yes I would try to go hunt with it.

i would too if i could lol would make a dandy brush rifle for deer at close range loaded with good bullets i dont know why the 7.62 round gets a bad rap for accuracy i get good results with my non restricted 858 its one of my favourite rifles

I would never hunt with one lol .. well not until i seen some non biased accuracy and chronograph testing ,, to hunt deer with any 7.5 inch centerfire rifle would be very irresponsible its poor hunter ethics .. When hunting you need to do everything possible to make a very accurate shot and a clean humane kill.. I shot one of these 7.5s at the range and after seeing the accuracy the idea of hunting with one even though its not legal is a fn joke . In my opinion its just a tacticool novelty gun, if you know anything about ballistics you would know that pistol rounds perform better out of barrels this short . A 7.62x39 round fired out of a 7.5 inch barrel at least 60% of the powder goes to waste , this is why you get the massave fireball.. A .45acp or a 5.7x28 would do way better out of a barrel this short or if CSA made a 7.5 inch in 7.62x25 i would be allover it ...

I'd go with the 11 inch because you can still use aftermarket hand guards and the original gas system.

they also said my 12 inch 870 barrel that i had set up to take rem chokes with would be no good for grouse well so far this year iam at 60 plus and counting that and if i use sabot slugs with a rifled choke tube at a hundred yards my acuraccy is not much worse than my fully rifled 21 inch barrel its all how you set thing up might take a little load development but in the end its getting that bullet placed in the vitals
