Hi all, I'm throwing the idea around of picking up a (restricted) Glock 29
Please tell me all you can about them with the extended barrel.
Looking for info such as, sources; is questar the only source?
Barrel options available (brands), pros and cons.
Chrono data for any reloads you may be using in them, reliability with the aftermarket barrel along with any other info you like.
Tell me everything you can, good, bad or otherwise.
I currently have a Smith 1006 that I'm debating replacing with the G29.
There's no place local that I can fondle the G29, and no one around that I know of that has one either. Hence my reason for the post, to try and make the most informed decision on ordering a gun that I simply don't have the chance to even hold before buying it. I have had the chance to have a look at the G20, but I'm more interested in the 29.
Thanks for the help:)

Questar is probably the best source....I'm not sure if it is the only source. I'm not sure how it works now though, the import tariffs went up or something and they have halted imports for now until it is clear what changed. You'll have to call or email and ask whats up....I'm curious too...a G29 is on my short list as well.

I had one. Just traded it in to Armco for a custom 10mm Commander.

I have average sized hands and the G29 had just a bit too much girth for me. With sweaty hands or after prolonged firing sessions, I found it hard to hold on to. If they ever make a g29 SF I will definately pick one up.

If you have big mitts it's sure to be no trouble for you.

It was surprising accurate for such a little gun though. I wish I had bigger hands!
