I may well be entirely wrong (ask my wife about that) but was Vic the one that got raided by the cops a few years ago? I recall something about possibly bogus charges???? This rings a bell, but sometimes it doesn't take much to ring my bell.

^^^ I never heard anything about that. I might just order an adjustable butt plate from add a rib once the postal strikes over and do it myself.

You may be thinking of Roger Kotanko who was shot and killed by Toronto Police Service officers while in his gun shop.
