Gentlmen,

Does anyone have any info on this revolver or any weblinks that might be useful?

I cant find anything on the web about this rimfire! I am so surprised!

All I could find was this small piece of info:

CONTINENTAL ARMS CO . Norwich, Ct. Manufactured Firearms from 1866 to 1890 .

I also noted that this revolver is called a "Suicide Revolver" why is it called that?

Any info would be appreciated!
Thanks,
Johnny

because starting a fight with a .32 rimfire would be suicide!

Dispatching Rabid dogs was the reason many many american homes had these cheap rimfires.

For defensive purposes any thing that broke the skin pretty much gaurenteed death by infection so the need for a manstopper cartridge was not required to disuade thieves or unsolicited male attention. Nothing like a piece of dirty shirt driven a few inches into your body to bring on an icky death.

The .32 rimfire was not going to stop you from being gored on a bayonet but it would keep your wallet safe if you waved it around (unless of course the thief was armed and smarter then you)

I have seen this maker a few times at least, do a search on USA auction sites you'll turn up at least a few examples.

From "Pistols of the World" Continental was a brand name, one of many, of the Hood FA Co 1873-82. Produced solid frame sheath trigger .22 & .32 RF revolvers.

suicide revolver is a nick name for cheap and sometimes poorly made guns. Some say the only purpose of these guns was for suicide and criminal activity b/c they were so cheap.
