I was wondering where I could find more information on
Serial Number Locations and
Wether a specific caliber conversion kit is serialized or not.
I find it hard to find that kind of information.

I recently got my RPAL and I realized I was very limited in time to build a "collection" because of the freeze.
I wanted to know which platforms would allow me to shoot more varieties of caliber without running into problems with the freeze in the future

I've put payments for a couple of P320 because I've heard sources say that it is the FCU that is serialized.

Thank you

p320 platform gives you options for the cold dark Canadian future before us because the serialized FCU moves from grip module to grip module. No serial number on any component other than the FCU. Adult lego. Most other guns serialize the frame. Glock, for example, allows you to swap out a lot of the internals, barrel, slide, but you're always stuck with the same cheap polymer frame. You can stipple it, wrap it, paint it, but it's always going to be that polymer frame because it's the "gun" in the RCMP's eyes. Grip modules are fairly easy to find (except for the AXG module), but Sig conversion kits like the XFive TXG kit are expensive and hard to come by, so while modularity brings with it some future proofing, it's not a pancea. So expensive and hard to source in fact, that I suggest grabbing yourself a few extra guns instead while they are still available.
