Converting 308 to 6.5 creedmoor

I've got a bunch of FC 308 WIN I was thinking of converting to 6.5 creedmoor. Any thoughts on this. Is there a better choice?

Ive done both, not that bad to make it and if in a pinch sure is a nice option. I did it in one shot then just had to trim the necks.

I would second the 260 Rem as it's easier to form from 308 Win brass, or why not sell your brass or trade it? Im sure an ad on the EE will get someone who wants to trade or buy brass.

I've made 6.5 Creedmoor brass from a lot of different 308 brands. Pretty easy after the initial learning curve.
Get a Redding 6.5Creedmoor body die,would be my first suggestion.

I really like to tinker that's why I did it (made my own 300 BLK brass too) . My match brass is Lapua 6.5 Creedmoor now. I was using converted Lapua 308 Palma brass for the small primer, before they came out with their 6.5 CM brass.

One word of advice. Watch your neck thicknesses,you might need to turn the necks on some brands of brass.
