Hello, this is probably a crazy idea but since I love square trigger guards I had this idea floating through my head.
https://www.canadaammo.com/product/detail/dominion-arms-np27-1911-45-acp-two-tone-pistol/ or the Israeli made counter.
If I bought this as a complete gun and paired it with a Para 9mm LTC would a working swap for both be possible?
I know very little on 1911s. Thanks for your input.

There are options for 9mm 1911's that have square guards. Check out some of the STI guns from Freedom Ventures for a start.

Even if you did by two guns there's more to this than just moving parts over. On 1911's the barrel link needs to be fitted for the slide and frame. So the barrels would likely need to be checked and fitted with new links. Also as suggested above you'd need to swap not just the slide and barrel but also the ejector that is mounted to the frame. The .45 ejector doesn't reach up high enough to catch the casing on the 9mm.

In the end you'll also have two mongrel guns with mis matched parts. Which means each of them will be worth a lot less than what this two gun Mr Dressup idea will cost you.

Alright, that seems to answer my question no Frankenstein and Bride of Frankenstein gun build than. Square trigger guard 1911s especially in 9mm do not come cheap. I'm a Tangfo guy at heart so 1911s only serve as a fun secondary pistol.
