I've got an old Remington 760 pump with the corn cob style forend. Has anyone converted one to new style or can it be done ? What's involved and needed if it can be done ?
Any help would be great !
Thanks !

^^^ And not a lot of choices without a donor rifle or watching Numrich for parts a long time. The three below are the different two series of the 760.
Two on top are .35Rem, a 1981 and a 1952 old style. Bottom is a 1952 .300Sav that someone had Custom wood made up. Sure wish I knew who or where it came from.
If it’s just a wood update your wanting, Boyd’s or some other supplier might be the best option.

Best to sell it and buy what you want. Too much hassle and expense if it can even be done at all.

Easily done if you are handy. Remove the plastic tip from the modern unit, round the edges and refinish.

Have you done this ? I'm new to Remington's being a Winchester 88 and 100 guy lol. I am handy with wood so if it's that easy would definitely give it a try. I was worried the slide tube was a dif size being a 35 Rem call ?

Yes, I put a modern stock off a 7600 on a 1950s 760 in 300 Savage.
