I'm just considering a new project but don't know if its worth it or not. I bought this rifle for my dad who is 81. (Savage 110 Apex Hunter XP in .223) so that we can target shoot together. I've got an M40 Vietnam era clone but the .308 was too hard on his shoulders. So I'm considering the idea of a new heavy bbl or and new tactical stock? The other cheaper option is to buy cammo tape and cover the rifle and scope to make it look tactically cooler. But if I was going to switch out the bbl and stock what do you guys recommend? My budget is about $1000. Which on line store/s in Canada are best to find this/these parts? Thanks fellas and Merry Christmas.
