Cooey 12 GA Question

All you Cooey Experts out there !
I bought a Cooey 12 GA,840 a while ago for Grouse and was wondering whether it is a 3" Gun ?
It's stamped " PROOF TESTED 12 GA.FULL CHOKE."Says nothing about 2 3/4 or 3" on the Gun.

I don't intend on using 3"ers on Grouse ( they're not that big ) but could carry a couple of 3" SSG's or Rifled Slugs in case of Woolfies or Barrs and was wondering ....

i wouldnt take a chance, use only 2 3/4 if its not marked

I have the same gun basically and wondered the same thing. Mines a model 84 which I ubderstand to be the older 840. I was wondering what the affect of shooting steel out of it will be along with wondering if it will take 3" shells.

Take it to a gun shop and get them to check what it's chambered for ... or only ever shoot 2 3/4 shells ....

I just sold my 840 a couple of days ago and it was stamped full choke, 2 3/4"-3"
