I received a Cooey Model 60 from a member here with a stock that has checkering on the right hand side, but none on the left. Were the Model 60s even checkered at all? If anything, the left side might indicate that it has been taken down somewhat to remove the rather shallow checkering that is present on the right side. Thing is, if this is the case, it was done so well that it is not evident the stock has been modified, other than perhaps the dimensional differences noted above. The finish even looks original. Has someone checkered the right side only? It doesn't look hand checkered. Could it have come out of the factory like this? Strangest thing I have seen in a while...
