Cooey 600 date of build?

Trying to figure out the age of a cooey 600 here, looks like the serial is CG0299XX.


I figure one of the experts on here can sort me out.

Searched hi and low but aparently my google-fu is very poor these days.

Anyone know?

serial numbers were necessary after 1968. so from there anyones guess.

The 600 came out in 1967. Serial numbers were used after 1968. So it was made from 1968 to 1979. That's as close as you will get. The gun was made by Winchester.
