Cooey 600 - FTF

I bought a couple of Cooey 600's over the last year and finally got around to busting them out of the safe.

One will not feed. I tried swapping the magazine spring insert from other working rifle and it still won't function.

It will however feed the last round in the magazine.

I'm new to rimfire in general and these bolt actions are a complete mystery.

Can anyone point me in the right direction? I would appreciate the help/guidance.

Did you completely strip it down and clean it?
Lots of dirt accumulates over the years.
Mine had a ton in it and once cleaned totally it work like a charm and is very accurate.

Rules for first fire of a new rifle.

1. Clean it first.
2. See rule 1.

I did a decent cleaning when I got the rifle and then it sat for months. I'll have to do another cleaning and a more thorough inspection.
