Cooey 600 Receiver Change Help Please.Pics now

Well I was playing around with one of my Cooey 600's.I had it out of the stock cleaning it.I walked past the counter top and the barrel just touched the counter and it slipped out of my hands and down to the floor,ouch ! I picked it up and one of the action arms on the bottom where the mag tube pins into was broken off.I have another receiver and was wondering who could change it and if it's even worth changing for the cost ?.The receiver I have has the barrel cut so that's all that's good on it.Is there anyone here that can do this ? Send me pm please.I have the piece that broke if it's weldable

Know a good welder?
I suppose that the receivers could be exchanged. No idea if the barrel retaining pins will be identically placed; I suspect that It would be necessary to ream the pin hole through the receiver and barrel to get things lined up, and a new pin made.

Can probably have the arm TIG'd or brazed back together - check with a small, local welding shop, as Tiriaq suggested. No recoil/stress issues to worry about in this repair, should be pretty easy.

Tigging would be easy after set up too bad you are not local I would do it for free not worth the paper work to have to pay. There will be some talented tig welder in your area that could do that in a heartbeat.

Pics now up and if someone can help me that's be great.Not having much luck finding anyone local so I might take you up on the offer ronnie01.I don't care bout shipping it unless you don't want to pack it up and mail it back and I pay for it .

Any gunsmith I know could silver solder that. Welding shops are not licensed to work on firearms.

Not a very professional answer. It's a job charge for it. Where is the common sense in that statement. All he has to do is quote for the job and it is your call to go ahead or say no thanks.He either can't be bothered or doesn't care about his customer base. Definately leaving money on the table. What is he some old white haired boy that has been doing it for too long. If he said 75.00 bucks he doesn't know what you are going to say.
